Understanding the field

As with anything that you might be curious about, you first need to understand what you are getting yourself into.

The first thing that I did when I started getting interested in the UX/UI field, was “What exactly is it?”. There are a lot of misconceptions about the actual meaniings of the two. But one thing is for sure, they are interconnected. In simpler terms, I would say it this way:

UX: finding the user experience.

The behind the scenes, how the experience works. Figuring out why things work in a certain way for the audience. Understanding how interaction can assist the user, and how to create it.

UI: creating the user experience.

The design, how the experience looks. Creating the interactivity for the user. Understanding why things look the way they do, and how does the user get attracted by it.

What should you do?

I would reccomend to go online and look at the way people perceive it as. It might look different, but once you read enough, you will start seeing the important terms. A great way to picture it is by going to https://www.uidesign.tips/ and look at the UI and UX pages. This website gives short visual tips about each of the fields, and I also believes it gives a very clear picture of what is UX and what is UI and their difference.
